I made my first candle in the ninth grade and have enjoyed
the craft ever since. When I was first introduced to gel candles
about twenty-plus years ago, I started making a wide variety of
interesting candles, including seascapes, beverages, and desserts.
For a time, I hosted a gel candle message board and started selling
gel candle supplies since I lived close enough to a distributor to
be able to accept delivery of drums of gel. This is also when I began
blending my own fragrance oils. I now live outside of a small town
(so no more drums of candle gel!), making mostly soy candles,
although I also really like the challenge of using more than
one wax type to create fun candle designs. I hope you'll enjoy your visit!
